To those fortunate ones born & raised with genuine non-capitalistic humility & compassion, whose early life & training has inspired them with the ideal to toil, and search for the Truth - these Dances from the Seven Anomalistic Years are dedicated.
This personified my good friend and fellow Dartmouth Tuck 1994, Jeff Schlactenhaufen, June 18, 1965 - July 11, 2016.
In the spring of 2015 it became clear there might be a market for industrial hemp hurd as an animal bedding nationwide, and certainly in Dairyland. In fact we already had a failed distribution effort competing with inexpensive wood chips. Now we know the premium equestrian market demand is there and our product is a "better mousetrap". In a visual for a better world, the bedding would not only serve the premium equestrian and backyard chicken market, but also cows, pigs, turkeys, chickens produced at factory scale. Of course, there is also hemp feed and biochar, and other Impact Initiatives, for another blog.

In the struggle to acquire the difficult art of living, starting in the 1980s, in the Mass Production Zone, as coined by Neil Peart of the Canadian band Rush, I learned there was nothing that could not be overcome.
I found my greatest friend in Nature; the trees, the waves, the winds, the shadows, the clouds, all touched me with a kindly hand. My daughter Emmy, in particular, has shown me how an appreciation of nature is incredibly nice to share with friends, family and loved ones.
